Agree with not having two shades. I personally would vote for the while, but the choice is of course up to you. Also, what kind of temps are you getting? As much as I love the third rad, how did you convince yourself that it was necessary?

I had a bit of a PSU problem. HX650 has nice all black black cables + it isn't fully modular => sleeving it will break the amazing 7 year warranty.
My fully modular Silverstone Strider 850W Gold (happy to void its warranty) was designed by lazy basterds who decided it would be cool to put 2 very large capacitors wired onto each end of every 6pin/8pin power cable => sleeving nightmare.

So i decided to stay with the extensions and ordered only black and white MDPC-X sleeving for the rest of my wires. Then i realised... why dont i just re-sleeve the bitfenix extensions. another DUH moment. The sleeving they use sucks, so i have emailed Nils to see if its not too late to add some more things to my order.

Was getting near ambient idle temps with only two EX240s, and average 50 C load temps (45-50 C on 3 cores and ~55 C the other). After adding the RX240 i havent had any noticeable drop in load temps haha specool.gif Pretty sure this is just because of low airflow in the case and the fact im using bad corsair case fans on one EX, and the other is badly mounted with double sided tape against fans inside the case.

Haha I never convinced myself that any of this was necessary! biggrin.gif
But seriously, with 3 rads i guess i might be able to get some more mhz out of my proc and GPU, might allow me to run my fans slower and quieter but in the end its a bit over overkill and i really just wanted a new project/challenge thumb.gif

Also im adequately prepped for crossfire, forbid i ever convince myself i need another graphics card....

how well did the rad in front of your hdd bays cool? Seems sort of restrictive with the cross bracing.

really like the organization here. effective use of space.

Cant give you any number but probably not that well frown.gif i get lots of airflow through the hdd cage but not much makes it through the radiator. Hopefully i will be able to fix this sometime in the week.

Hellllooo

Sorry about no updates for a while. I currently have my whole PC stripped of the watercooling gear and fans. This is great because i cant play any games instead of studying for uni...

I ended up adding green sleeving and an ATX pin removal tool to my order from MDPC-X (using paper clips/filed down bobby pins stolen from my girl friend wasn't fun last time i tried to sleeve anything). Not sure when this will come but am just going to have to wait for it, all my LEDs and the quick disconnects before i can do much at all in terms of putting anything together.

These came at the beginning of the week, 4x more GT AP-15s and a sleeved 3-pin fan splitter:

On the weekend i will probably clean up and paint the brackets and will upload some photos of that for sure. Thinking of painting the fans also...

Another not-very-exciting post for anyone interested. Have been stuck for things to do while waiting for more stuff in the mail, so I decided to open up my blocks to see of there was any of that white build up seen on the tubing in them. The Heatkiller for the 7970 was fine, but the fins on the raystorm were clogged up with a bit of gunk. Some of it looked metallic which couldn't be good, cleaned it out with a good blast from the air compressor. My replacement fill-port for the chrome one i originally got sent arrived yesterday. Grieg at gammods didn't want to the other one back and let me add a couple more 45's to the order which was great. Dont mean to plug any store/company names :S all the major Aus watercooling retailers have there own pro's and cons and I have no real preference between them.
Last is a shot of my PC with the stock intel cooler put back in and boy does it look horrible hahaha. needed it up and running as it has my whole music library and a bunch of stuff i need for uni on it.

Still interested! I was actually able to get ahold of a Switch 810, but hey this is still a very interesting log! Keep up the good work.

Awesome! Those cases are great, i was going to get one before i water-cooled but no stores locally had one in stock. Maybe for my next build.. have fun with yours!

I'm still waiting on everything to come in the mail but here is some pics of what i have been up to this weekend with my girlfriend biggrin.gif

Updates!

Yesterday my quick disconnects arrived, and today my sleeving and LEDs also came in the mail. It's been like christmas hahah. My girlfriends Monsoon compression fittings came also :O so good looking, too bad we cant finish her loop because the reservoir brackets broke (Phobya brand blegh.. cheap and nasty) and we are also waiting on more sleeving for her computer.
Today i couldn't help taking a first shot at sleeving, did four on the gentle typhoons and a 4 pin extention cable for the fan controller. The quick disconnects are a pretty ugly colour but im pretty happy with them. Can always paint them if anything sticks. Heres pics:
