[Massively] Blizzard to implement Cross-server zones into WoW - Page 2

No, that's not the same concept.

example:

Say Blizzard has 50 realms. Those 50 realms would all run the end game content, and like 2 realms would run the earlier content. Because there aren't as many starters as there are people playing at the end game. So basically any server you start on, you're instanced into one of the 2 starter realm instances with a ton of other noobs.

What blizzard screwed up on is charging players to transfer realms/faction. They should of allowed players to earn both by keeping account active for 3 months. Allow players to transfer all characters from one realm to another without having to pay for each one if they keep account active for 5 months.

ABOUT TIME!!

Guild Wars, their main competitor, not only had those, but you could also move freely from district to district as if you were just warping around.

Depends on the server. Like mine for example (gorefiend) used to be pretty mid pop, would have no problem finding pugs for alts or people for older raids/achievs. However, then the ball starts by say one large guild xfering to a higher pop server, then another etc etc. This keeps going until once it starts getting harder to get things going more and more people xfer to the point of where it is now where it's extremely low pop.

Not sure why people are talking about GW2 on a WoW news topic. All I can say is that the PVP in WoW feels a lot more solid and polished than what I played in the GW2 beta. yeah, it's a beta, so I'm hoping it will improve. I'm no fanboy, in fact I hope GW2 does well, but as of now, you just mindlessly spam all your skills as long as they're not on cooldown.

What worries me is that their staff are actually proud of their PVP system, so I'm not sure that will change. it really just feels extremely casual, no idea how that's ever gonna be competitive
