Which card do you have? I have normal gainward card which is the same as palit and fan sounds weird (buzzing) but no coil whine .. maybe you are mixing them up?

I wasn't talking about the chokes, but the actual VRM mosfets ( small chips to left of what your looking at). They are digital (at least appear to be digital, they are definitely different though) on your cards, and not the same as reference, and are likely a different height.

It's the normal palit, as far as I know they both have the same PCB, the Jetstream just has a better cooler and higher clocked.

Yes I do have coil whine, made a thread about it actually. I think some of the noise is resonating from the cheap heatsink which will hopefully be rectified by a waterblock

I can't see the mosfets being much different in height, I'd imagine the thermal pads would negate it anyway.

None, I'm going to replace my 580 for a 670. I have been reading on the forums of people complaining about coil whines on the 670 (most of them is the MSI ref..) If the Palit realy have stronger vrm's there should not be any whine or at least not very loud.

Hopefully, but like I said be careful. Your going to have to check and double check for proper contact, thermal pads will only be ok if they are just a bit taller, not shorter. But they are likely not as tall as the reference mosfets, and even with pads you would not have adequate contact.

I have no coil whine but the fan is very weird, I would get a palit jetstream, gigabyte windforce and evga 670 FTW.

wow i got 4 evga 670 4gb SCs i wonder which block will fit. i noticed earlier discussions about aquas block slot not being wide enough to fit wider erm ..Chokes? (little black boxes).

dont want to spend money of 4 blocks and then not being able to fit my cards.

any one got a waterblock on a evga 670 card successfully? which block did u use?

and i wonder for hear killer blocks, how can i connect all 4 together. ek has a 4 card bridge and so does aqua, what about watercool?

Your fine EVGA uses reference PCB and power phases, I just checked so any of the blocks will be fine for you. I suspect the wider power phases should be fine too just being cautious.

Yeah heatkiller has multi gpu bridges, there's also individual connectors like these http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_203_472&products_id=30753

Ywah if anything it will be easier with a heatkiller or aqua , with the inlet and outlet ports on the new EK cards you are forced to use the bridge and links instead of the old koolance length adjustable bridges ,not the end of the world since most people with multiple EK blocks preffered the bridge and links anways but its still a slight restriction.
