Then the so called expansion packs for bf2 were DLC as well because they provided the same amount of content per price.

Battlefield 3 community ruins itself.

He complains that there has been only a couple patches when there have been tons and each one messes up the game balance in some way thanks to whiners, people who think tanks are op and now tanks are deathtraps, nerfing planes and choppers cause they cannot fly one. The game was largely balanced upon release but whiners messed up the balance. There should have only been patches to fix the bugs nothing more.

He complains about tiny maps when most of the bf3 community plays metro, how is that DICE fault? They have to give the people what they want. Most of these people may be cod converts but the way I see it this is not different than the tons of 24/7 karkand IO servers that filled bf2. You and I may like large maps with vehicles but clearly most of the BF community doesn't. I only have origin and battlelog running and ts if I need to communicate so its 2 programs not 3. I usually have stuff like steam running all the time so its not like i care and worried about my 50mb of ram origin takes up.

Also I admit the destruction in BF3 is not as intense as BC2 but I can see why they did that, the game is hard enough to run as it is even on good pcs. They probably would rather have more people playing the game than only a select few of people who can run it.

Finally too many people are viewing Bf2 through rose tinted glasses. The guns sucked in that game people were more likely to kill you with a grenade spam due to everyone having 7 grenades . I dont blame them they were more effective than the weapons. Also the air vehicles were completely over powered with jets and choppers capable of mercilessly bombing infantry and ground vehicles alike and there was no response to them due to the crappy aa, this pretty much killed vehicle servers as planes would wipe out whole squads due to bombing.

Commanders were cool and a few times they were used properly, but most of the time the commander would kill their own men due to arty or just be a crappy commander in general. I bet on consoles the commander would be a complete disaster. However I would have still wanted the commander in the game.

Exactly, i'm not exaggerating anything, i'm sorry for wanting a true battlefield game instead of this "Cod killer" "Above and beyond the call", maybe Dice/EA should of made a battlefield game instead of going after Cod fanbase.

They were not expansion packs back in the BF2 days and they are not now.
I mean do you have any idea how little work it takes to make these once they already have the engine and tools created? Its essentially copy and paste with a few parameters changed for new weapons. Then all they need to do is test for glitches and rake in the profit.
Heck they won't even let me buy the pack once for both platforms I play on, they force me to buy it for PC and PS3 at the same time. Battlelog is cross platform so why are the licences for the DLC not?

rolleyes.gif What's irrelevant is what you feel is an expansion pack.

Please refer to Sausage's post. He covers everything quite nicely.

"Cod killer" - I have not once seen DICE try to or even say they were aimed at murdering innocent fish or go after the fan-base of said fish.

Suppression is a game feature that has been in it since Alpha so if you didn't like it you shouldn't have bought it and as far as I can tell the only things to be nerfed were bugs and stuff that was abused like hell to the point that it wasn't enjoyable for the people on the receiving end of such abuse. There are many, many teamwork availabilities in the game you just can't see them, eh?

Everyone else

I personally don't like these map packs and such because they're hardly expansions. They're map packs with a few new guns and such put in there. The problem is they cost £11.99 here in the UK and that's just sickeningly expensive.

All the people saying they don't see the Premium thing as a bad thing? It is. Whatever the cost per year is just ridiculous. Oh wow you get the DLC slightly cheaper, etc. I could afford to buy it no problems. I'm not cheap. But my principals tell me it's the next step in a subscription based service for games that should be a one off purchase and then you're done.

Same goes for the unlock kits. There's an advantage to having them earlier and it's disgusting they're selling them.

Still not going to stop me from enjoying the game I've bought but still enough to piss me off when I hear about it.

Hopefully they will come out with DLC that allows two people to fly in a jet together similar to the single player. Trying to fly solo is such a pain when your being engaged by other jets, choppers, mobile AA, and infantry stingers all at the same time. Just too much AA in the game for a single jet pilot to deal with.

black & white tunel vision when suppresed would be ok for me.. with some forced motion blur on top of that.. but no spread increase nor recoil increase

Play another game if you have a problem. Suppression works better now.

Yeah.... no.

They should of left it where it was, rather than make it worse.

I hate feeling like I need glasses for my video game, I already wear glasses. Trying to shoot a fuzzy black image and having him in the reticule but not hitting him is well, counter-productive. I agree with frosty, the visual effects were fine, but the added accuracy/recoil hit was un-needed.
