[battlefieldo]BF3 New DLC, Content Service, and Double XP Weekend - Page 14

Have you guys forgotten that it costs developers to build patches? Which is why the dlc costs money so we can keep the franchise for bf3 moving. You can't always have it your way. This is how money and business works!

The whole point of suppression is for people to not be sitting there trying to get off accurate shots while bullets are coming their way.

To stop people literally just sitting opposite each other and playing chicken with bullets till one dies, they implemented a feature which injects strategy into the mix.

Now people are feeling less like supermen who can sit there not caring about/while taking bullets as they line up the perfect shot.

In this manner, suppression actually works just as it should.

I miss the days where that cost was accounted for in the original sale of the game. I know the DLCs are going to bring bunches of bug fixes and more re-balance. yay, re-balance (again)!

I hate feeling like I need glasses for my video game, I already wear glasses. Trying to shoot a fuzzy black image and having him in the reticule but not hitting him is well, counter-productive. I agree with frosty, the visual effects were fine, but the added accuracy/recoil hit was un-needed.

^ For once I agree with you on a BF3 related subject.

Suppression is supposed to make you run for cover. It works a lot better now than it did before. People are just mad their cheap tricks no longer work. I remember when there was once a method used to stop bunny hopping people went crazy.

building a game full of bugs and saying we nailed it is just wrong

and on top of that destroying the only good things about the game and saying its a path towards a better bf3 is just wrong

suppresion is just a way to reward scrubs.
you dont really need to aim properly you just shoot shoot shoot and shoot some more and voila.. if he fires back you are now suppresed.. wich increases your spread wich helps your bullet fly off and even maybe hit random guys next to your intended victim ... tell me how its a show of skill

its all random.. just like how ecm jammer sometimes bugs or dont.. and random stuff of the sort... this game is now all about randomness to reward the scrubs

^ Like I said, pissed their cheap tricks no longer work.

I'm happy to inform (and piss you off) you that I employ suppressive fire quite a lot during my games. It's an excellent method of helping your team and doing some of that teamwork you complained about earlier. Since I play support with an LMG + bipod, I lay down suppressive fire on the enemy which allows my team to manoeuvre about and get the kill or simply move on. My objective isn't to kill them.

The problem is you peg people down as playing exactly like you do just shoot shoot shoot and pretend they're inferior players and the likes. Suppression works. It's part of the game, please stop playing it if this is how you react.

Complain about proper things like how they refuse to ban obvious hackers who admit it. THAT'S a massive problem. fixing the bugs and then saying "they stopped anything fun about the game" makes you look like a crappy player.

Do tell about this "strategy" into the mix?

random unpredictable feature =!= strategy

So my bullets hitting where I aim is a cheap trick?

How about aiming directly at the muzzle flare and hitting not a darn thing with a 1 or 3 shot burst?

this. I can understand the delay from prone to standing when being revived, because it's consistent and serves a purpose. Suppression is irritating, too random, IMO.

The suppression change is horrible. I tried a LMG+deployed bi-pod for the first time since the patch on metroll over the weekend, and for some reason my solider turned into Michael J Fox. It is really bad.
