I bought a EVGA GTX 670 SC with the backplate, but I think I'm gonna return it (Love UK DSR) and wait out for the 4GB FTW. Apparently it's coming mid August, so I think I'd be better going with that. I've heard too much about the SC's screaming fans. tongue.gif

Hey guys, can anyone verify that this result is reasonable on my twin Gigabyte GTX 670's for an over clock of +40/+805. I'm pretty sure they go further stable, but the heaven score decreases substantially.

Also, I peaked at 2375 with 0/805. So im confused why adding offset drops in 20 points:S.

If you look at the CORE FREQUENCY - Do you have Frequency Oscillation ? That drops the points in benchmarks, as the CORE FREQUENCY will go up and down rapidly.

Yeah, I asked Jacob about it on twitter:
Quote:
@EVGA_JacobF Hi, any news of when the 670 4GB FTW is coming? Bought a 4GB 670 SC a while ago and then found out about this.

@Tephnos 670 FTW 4GB slipped a bit, mid AUG is new ETA

@EVGA_JacobF Would we see it in the UK market around that date too? Think I'm gonna wait for this one. Any estimates on price?

@Tephnos price not final yet, UK should be around same time.

So yeah, definitely going to hold out and see what this gives me, I think. It's either this or the Galaxy 4GB, and I'm not too hot on those aftermarket coolers since the FTW can run pretty cool itself.

I may be wrong but 93 is a bit low for a sli 670. You should be in the 3 digits range imo.

This guy is on SLI OC'ed and getting what I get.

Both of them were stable out of the box and both allowed for a small (additional) overclock.
Didnt fine tune the memory clock yet and processor needs some work aswell
But so far this is my heaven score
338

And this guy is on a single TOP card.

Post your Heaven 3.0 mark with everything maxed @ 1080p, I'd be really interested in seeing your result.

You must have your settings set on low or a really low res. Average is around 50 for a 670. No way one could do 100 at with all the settings cranked up.

I agree with lightsout. I just scoped then entire Heaven 3.0 thread, and to my surprise im actually beating or extremely close to most OC'ed 680 SLI runs. Phew, I was worried for a minute. I havent individually run each card to find max clocks yet, but I'll probably do that today. I know my older card has weaknesses compared to the new one. Clocks 15mhz lower off the start with 112% Power target.

I am however concerned with my extremely low GPU clock offset... no idea why I can surpass 41... (but that is when linking them in SLI for OC)
