I have an XSPC Raystorm kit installed, so no problem adding the GPU to the loop, but... is there a decent 670 compatible GPU block that is well under $100? I did a quick search and they all appear to be $100 or more and that's out of my budget for now.
Folding is going to slow your system down...You are telling your GPU ( and if you fold with your CPU) to work their absolute hardest. It should slow the system down a bit.

Not all gpus throttle at 70C. In fact, 70C is the max temp ive seen ( because of my fan profile) and my GPU hasnt throttled at all. You can tell if youre actually throttling or not if, when it gets to a certain temp, the GPU clock and utilization goes down.

With the default fan profile, it got up to 79C.

Just folding on the CPU, there was no slow down. Only with the GPU folding am I now seeing a large slowdown. It's kind of weird. Even pausing the CPU slot so only the GPU is foldin, there's still a huge slowdown. Typing this right now, it takes a second or two for it to catch up.

What is the average that will throttle the 670? In my place, 70C is easily reachable, at least for my MSI Hawk 560Ti, because we have 30~33C ambient temps.

70 is the first throttle point, but its only 13mhz. These run cooler than previous gen cards though.

Mine runs 75 degrees when OCed. (gaming at 1440p)

When I SLI it i am sure they will be around 80 (wont be OCing)

How much of a throttle would it be on 75 and 80 degrees?

Ok. But is that 70C throttle point for all Nvidia cards including Fermi? My 560Ti easily reaches 85C with OCCT or Furmark.

How cooleer are Kepler cards compared to the Fermis?

Kepler on average is 10C cooler than Fermi. At 70C Kepler will auto down clock 13 MHz then again at 80C by another 13 MHz.

How about at 70C and 80C, will Fermi downclock also?

I must really be lucky...My card hasnt downclocked. Ever. Granted max ive seen it hit is 71 but its usually at 68C folding.
