If memory serves me correctly, the original box felt like it weighed more than two pounds, maybe 3-3.5lbs.

Please do! smile.gif

I have someone repacking it for me and he'll use a small box. The foam inside the original box should help it.

I edited my original post to show the measurements.

Hi,

I bought a MSI GTX670OC (Reference 670). Noise of its fan is really loud and annoying.

I want to change its fan (cooling unit). I'm not sure if that will void its warranty.

Should I sell it and buy a non-reference cooling version (e.g. Asus DCII) or buy
a cooling system (e.g. arctic cooling)?

If I sell it and buy a Asus DCII, I must pay about 150-200$. If I buy a cooling system (I'm not
sure which one should I buy though) I must pay about 50-100$.

Which one is more reasonable? If a new cooling system, which one should I buy?

Thanks,

i would say go with gigabyte gtx 670.nice card, cool and good oc.
cooling system like artic have problems with kepping vram cool, and card will sag overtime.it isn't easy to install and that will void your warranty with msi.
Hm, I didn't hear that vram cooling is a problem. Installation is not a problem, The store that I will buy the cooling unit will install the cooling unit.

I must pay 100$ more for another gtx670 card and not sure if this is what I should do :/

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice.

I currently have a HD 6950, but it's overheating and runs very loud. Not to mention it's actually not THAT fast. So I was looking at the 7950, when I came across the GTX 670, I know Nvidia has better drivers (which is a big plus for me) and I love the idea of Adaptive Vsync. But is it worth the extra money? By the time I can afford it, it should be a little cheaper.

I'm using the EVGA FTW 670 and I have no regrets. Great bang for your buck and if you check out this benchmark, you'll see that the 670 is overall a better card than the 7950.

Edit - I'm playing games like BF3, GW2 and WoW and for all of them, I'm running it on ultra and my fps never sits under 85 fps. The only game that isn't over 60 is Metro. Running it on ultra gives me 45 fps.

Edit 2 - I am also using the latest 306.02 drivers which upped my FPS in Guild Wars 2 from 80+ to over 100. I then decided to follow this overclocking guide and my FPS has jumped by an extra 30 frames.

I am definitely impressed with the card. My fan curve also allows sufficient cooling without being too loud.

No sir, I run everything on ultra. It doesn't dip. 4 x MSAA too. Bear in mind I am playing at 1920x1080 resolution. But the only game that takes it's toll on my card is METRO 2033.
