Just plopped down $408 for a EVGA FTW edition of the 670. I rarely make single purchases that are this expensive so it's weirding me out a bit. Free Borderlands 2 was definitely a highight. That PhysX video with all of the fancy effects for BL2 helped sell me. No doubt my current card could run it, but why not future proof a bit more?

My single purchases seem to be getting more expensive each year. I find myself waiting less time to switch video cards. But I think it works out well because its easier to sell a card thats only 1 year old than a card from 3 generations ago. At least thats what I tell myself to ease my guilt lol.

Hey guys, I've been considering getting a 670 for quite some time. Since it came out really. I've got a heavily overclocked 580 and that gets me a good 25% higher performance over a stock 580. So basically a stock 670 would be very close to the performance of my max overclocked 580. I've been looking to try to find what cards are great overclockers. I've also seen alot of threads on which 670 to buy. What might be helpful for the club is to have on the spreadsheet is to have the max overclock of each card, then make it so that we can sort by brand and overclock. Then that way I should have a little bit more predictable data as to which card to choose.

I'm running lapped antec 620 cooling for my GPU. Push-pull SP120 and Scythe slipstream, so even with my 580 bios modded to 1.22V I don't get over 55C. So basically temps are irrelevant when it comes to maxing out my overclock because the 670 with my cooling shouldn't really get above 50C... I'm searching out a 1300+ core overclock on the 670 because I think that'd give me a great performance increase on the card.

Right now I'm hearing the Gigacrap 670 is a pretty good overclocking card. I also hear the Asus card is good too, and with the 620 cooling, that temp issue will be resolved. What do you guys think? I honestly really like the design of the Asus DCII, backplate and good PCB size

The three cards that seem to have the best over clocking reports consistently have been EVGA FTW, Gigabyte Windforce 3, & ASUS DCII TOP cards with luck permitting.

Here is a thread discussing this: Which 670 has the best lottery? Lets do the Stats!

MSI is not even on that forum... My PE does 1365 on core because of the overvoltage and never gets hotter than 65c on air
I'm not alone, DrBoss posted some good bench on PE threads.
Anyway, here's a quick shot I just made in heaven to show you.
