The reason I am asking is cause the GTX 670 was finally released in my country and while the ref MSI model goes for R4500 ... The GB Windforce goes for just a few hundred bucks less than a GTX 680 ...
Would my Sig Rig bottleneck a 680 ?? ... Is the 670 still the better bang for my buck (ref msi model)

You're not going to be bottlenecked with your sig rig. I believe the explanation for the low FPS is that at the very start of the Heaven 3.0 bench the card runs low-power clocks (384mhz in my case) for a split second before it runs up to speed. I think this is where the low minimum is coming from. It takes FOR-EV-ER for heaven 3.0 to start up so it drops back to idle speeds during that time.

I know that PCI-E 2.0 vs 3.0 is very slight ... but I was wondering how much it would effect the higher performance cards 680\690 and sli performance...

If the low FPS is indeed the card going back to idle then I am happy to place my order within the next month or so (waiting for the MSI Twin Frozr models)

From the tests I've seen done, 3.0 vs 2.0 is only a pronounced effect in tri or quad SLI with very high res setups. I ran the bench a few times to be sure, and my minimum always happens right when the card is running up to speed at the start. I think that only happens in Heaven because of the way it loads, it doesn't do it in 3Dmark.

i was surprised how well my 670 ran the witcher 2 with max settings, including ubersampling. it was getting 30-45 fps according to msi afterburner. the resolution i used was 1600x900, so i doubt it'll be the same fps once i get this desk to use with my catleap's 2560x1440.

My Galaxy OC 670 is running like a beast. I'm really surprised how cool this thing runs. I have it set at 75% and it never went above 56C when I played metro on ultra settings for a good 30 minutes.

Got my 670's installed last night. wheee.gif
Can't find my old Heaven benchmarks or anything else to compare to now though...
570's SLI -> 670's SLI

450

700

Will do a proper Heaven later, what are the standard settings people use?

In Heaven Benchmark stock settings:
GPU1 Core Clock: 1176MHz
GPU1 Max Temp: 68 C
Fanspeed 45%

GPU2 Core Clock: 1163MHz
GPU2 Max Temp: 62 C
Fanspeed 41%

i5 2500k@4.5GHz

All other fans in my case set to minimum.

700

And heres one at 1680

700

I just got my GTX 670 FTW from EVGA as a replacement for my flawed Superclocked. I ran 3D Mark11 and got X3200 score with the Extreme Preset. Max temps were brutal though, (for me anyway) as it went up to 78C. I played Diablo 3 for about 2 hours and the temp never went above 66C though.

Hi,
Your scores are abit low.

I bet you have 3dvision enabled?
If so disable it via control panel and restart heaven, you will see a increase of around 10/15 fps wink.gif.

WEll thats how it is for me and my wf 670's.
