PNY GTX670 here... getting red screens while gaming with a paltry +80clock, +140mem. Runs heaven fine but when I'm actually playing my games, it'll occasionally flop. Temps seem under control too, so I don't know what's causing the crashes :S

I got lots of RSODs when I had put the card into the computer at first. It ran heaven and shogun without problems but black mesa didn't, the only thing that solved it was a fresh install of windows to get rid of all the old ATI/AMD stuff that was on there that even driver cleaner et al didn't manage to clear out. Is it a new build or an upgrade?

Upgrade. I used atiman? uninstaller to get rid of the AMD stuff before putting the 670 in. With daily normal usage, and when I'm on stock clocks, the card is stable (so far). Even with the OC, the RSODs don't happen every day. If this is a driver issue, then I'll be relieved; at least a fresh install will fix it. Not that I want to go through all that hassle...

Let's put it this way, I've not had a single RSOD since I did a fresh install of win, that was a month ago. Before I could play for 5s - 2mins before one came on.

hmmm....i am not sure but the latest drivers seem to have lowered my overclock a bit and increase the 2D clock.

I get coil whine under load, if I let my fan be quiet enough (which I don't since temps get higher than I want). It's kind of frustrating since if I ever do put it under water (already have CPU watered), there still would be the coil whine. As it is now with a custom fan curve in PrecisionX, my fan is so loud I can't hear the coil whine.

Hi guys, is GTX 670 Jetstream 2GB a good choice? I know about the fan noise but its the cheapest GTX 670 i can get here in my place. MSI GTX 670 Pe is available too but its way out of my budget. My last option is Palit & Leadtek but it's the reference version. From what i read, the Jetstream also used reference PCB right? How high can i oc with that unit? Any Jetstream user can share some experience? Thx in advance. biggrin.gif

GTX 670 PE = MYR1415 = $456
Jetstream = MYR1299 = $419

As for the reference card, both cost around $328. I could get it cheaper from Newegg since its already available here in Malaysia. But its hard to claim warranty as i need to send it back to U.S if anything happens. frown.gif
