I am still really new the the NVidia world, the last NVidia card I had was my trusty GTX 480, but is the locked voltage a BIOS problem (card BIOS, obviously), or is it a hardware thing with the voltage controller?

If BIOS, can we somehow fix this, or are there unlocked voltage BIOS' we can just flash?

Personally, I think its a mixture of both. Nvidia says its locked voltage because the card's stock voltage is at the upper end of its limits. Some users have used an unlocked BIOS and pushed it higher..And then noticed a degradation in their stable clocks, or even total chip failure.

Search here on OCN, General123 has a thread about unlocked voltage for 670/680

I got this card from Asus. Sometimes i see blinking pixels on graphics - even on pictures. The most constant blinking area of pixels happens on http://www.quakelive.com/#! in browser mode. I use Windows 8 x64 with latest stable NVIDIA drivers via HDMI connection. Can anyone help or confirm?

Update:
I installed GeForce 310.64 Driver BETA istead of GeForce 306.97 Driver WHQL and everything is OK for now, Strange.

I have an EVGA 670 FTW. Will there be any difference between HDMI and Display Port at 1080p?
I had to use the display port for surround and I can't see any difference. I only have 60 Hz monitors though, so I don't know if there's a change at higher refresh rates.

Is it just me or are all accessories half price now? I got a 670 FTW backplate for 8 euros. Usually it's 17.
