LOL I was just told on youtube that minecraft does not use your graphics card and that it simply runs off your cpu and ram.......................................... wth.gif

I guess it goes with the territory of talking to minecraft players about computers.

Just thought I'd add to this thread in case anyone is planning on getting into Skyrim. Installed over 100 mods with Realistic Hope ENB. Running everything Maxed out except with 4x AA and FXAA enabled. Game is running awesome. No problems at all (or lack of VRAM).

Sad to say, starting to get artifacts with my gtx670amp,also the lastest nividia drivers seemed to have given my card lag...so I've rolled back to the 306 driver.
Don't think I'll buy a factory oc card again. The card is only 6 months old...it will be going back to the shop and hopefully replaced with a stock 680

So I am calling on my fellow 670 4GB owners. I have been wanting to do a comparison thread for awhile between my FX-6300 and a newer core i5 CPU. I know the i5 is way stronger in raw performance, but I was speaking from a gamer standpoint. So many times a gamer asks for advice and most people jump on the upgrade to intel bandwagon (I myself did twice). My goal is to show that a higher end GPU will perform fine on either CPU and if some one is budget limited they should focus on a better GPU over a better CPU.

I need you to test some benchmarks as well as FPS games. My six cores vs your 4 at stock clocks and Overclocked. Then my OC vs your stock, to see if buying a cheap CPU can overcome the deficit by overclocking. ANy takers I will put together the thread I just need your benchmarks, and give you credit as well. Please be objective for science, and not be a uber Intel fan.

So, my new system has never quite been "right,"in large part to my Gigabyte 670s both apparently being buggy as heck. Too bad, very cool design, cool and quiet. However, the HDMI port does not work on either of them and I have had continual driver crashes (which do not occur when I swap in one of my old cards, so I don't think its a software issue.)

I'm going to return the cards as defective and get a different set of 670s. so, anyone have a recommendation for a good 670, preferably with at least a little factory OC (though I may take it further on my own as well)? I'm looking for cool and quiet most of all, but something in a more conventional box-like form. All input welcome.
