gtx670 SLI = gtx690 single card....

If you just want to reduce noise and temps, how about an aftermarket cooler for the 690 then? smile.gif

http://www.vortez.net/news_story/arctic_announce_the_accelero_twin_turbo_690.html

You can also just add all in one CPU coolers on it? That reduces temps and noise A LOT
I have seen an all in one cooler like that with dual waterblocks, but i cant find it anywhere frown.gif

So in stead of buying more cards, just alter your 690 smile.gif

Edit: I found the cooler!!!!, Its the Astec 760GC (took me an hour to find wink.gif )
Here on the forums, u can contact 'Dwood' for a custom bracket. It should look sweet, it should be colder and it should be very custom ^^

I know its a cooler that does 1 CPU and 1 GPU, but no one says you cant use it on dual chip cards smile.gif

I have bought a new MSI GTX 670 Power edition and when I try to overclock from afterburner software games stuck and it gives "display driver stopped responding and has recovered " error. is it because of my 500 watt xigmatek psu ? but if I dont overclock it works perfect with no error. is this because of 500 watt psu ?

my pc specs are :

Fx 6100 @ 4.6 GHZ -- GIGABYTE 970A --MSI GTX 670 Power edition -- SANDISK EXTREME 120 GB SSD -- 500 GB SEAGATE HDD -- 8 GB RAM -- COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 EVO CPU Cooler -- AEROCOOL VS-3 CASE -- 500 WATT XIGMATEK PSU -- VE 2 ARCTIC COOLING + 2 AKASA CASE FANS -- 27" ASUS VE276Q LED MONİTÖR

Did you overclock the core, the memory or both? How far? Did you progress in stages or take a giant leap?

I highly recommend:

It got me from zero to stable OC very nicely.

and my cards default specs .

so it is power supply no room for overclock isn't it ?

Well, the PSU def could be a killer. Plus, your card is already nicely over clocked.. it might already be at or near it's limits.

Have you tried it in another machine, with a bigger PSU?

I can now get it work with +200 to memory but can't overclock core mhz yet. and new ss :

is this overclock enough ? or need a new psu to overclock core speed?

This is about the limit for most of the 670s. I can only go a little higher than yours stock core. My max is 1080 Mhz which is only +60 Mhz better than yours.
