Got tired of the stock coolers noise
inb4 y u do that weird so many fans omg.
The case has a 140mm slot for a fan on the roof. And there is a Noctua NF-A14 PWM up there, as intake.
Next up is a 140mm to 120mm adapter (Bitspower I think)
Then an empty fan frame because I couldn't find short enough screws so I could've attached the adapter straight to the radiator.
And obviously next is the radiator, the original Antec Kühler H2O 620.
The fan is powered, and controlled, by the GPU. Bought one of those 4pin PWM to mini 4pin adapters.
It stays cool enough. Ran some Valley after attaching it and
1.212v, 1202Mhz core, 1761Mhz mem.
Noctua @~900rpm 63*C
Noctua @~1150rpm 56*C
I don't remember what speed the pump was running at though. Also after taking the picture I put up a 92mm Gentle Typhoon up there cooling air towards the VRM. Was the only smaller than 120mm fan I had laying around at the time so had to go with that.
Grabbed my multimeter and it's sensor and the VRM area does stay cool. Don't remember the numbers but without it the VRM area was quite
I'll order some new fans at somepoint. I've got some ideas. Perhaps a 120mm low speed fan above the pump to move a bit of air around.
And I'm thinking of replacing the 92mm GT with something that has a blade geometry designed more for AF than SP. How about a T.C. fan
Place the probe near the VRM and when the GPU is under load the fan would speed up automagically
