Not exactly. The Gigabyte GTX 670 OC has 5 phases whereas the reference GTX 680 has 4. Also Gigabyte uses 6 & 8-pin PCIe connectors and the reference 680 uses dual 6-pin (stacked).

Gigabyte:

Reference 680:

But it does use the same reference PCB, just with a few minor tweaks.

Enjoying it so far.
My old GTX470 got about 680 in the same settings, ran twice as hot as well. EVGA GTX 670 FTW Edition. Nice results.

Is that stock FTW clocks or any additional OCing?

+55MHZ on Core

+350MHZ on Memory

I wish I could get +125Mhz though, then I'd be at 1350, a 12% OC. tongue.gif

So ... doing the math here ... sounds like you're at 1280MHz now then? Pretty good OC on a 670 man.

BTW, when posting your OC's on Kepler, the offset values alone are totally useless, because different offsets result in different clocks on everyone's cards.

Thus, you should always post the actual observed operating frequency (i.e. what AB/Precision graphs show you), not the offset value thumb.gif

Correct ... although for 99% of all the usual intents and purposes, the GB 670 board is a 'reference' 680 PCB, the 670 GB cooler definitely won't work on any other 670 if it has the stacked PCI-Ex power connector configuration ... which means all other 670's except for a GB WF model (or 680 WF model), it won't fit properly on.

This pic will show why not pretty clearly ...

Yeah, GPU_Z shows 1282mhz core clock and 1728mhz memory(x4), so like 6912mhz memory.

I suppose!

But I would have liked to hit 1300 at least, 1350 at best, using a custom cooler.

Also yeah, I probably should ahve got a 4GB version or so.

Some games I play already run low on memory. ArmAII, crashes, and BF3 runs @ 1.8GB or so and windows warns me of low memory.
