That's the GHz 7970 though -- an overclocked version of a card to catch up to the 680. I'm sure if nVIDIA wanted to they could do the same thing.

Do you guys think that 1 670 is enough for my 27" Yamakasi?

Will it struggle to play games like BF3 on High/Ultra?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use one on my Apple LED (2560x1440) and play on Ultra with everything maxed besides AA which is off and get constant 54-60 fps, more 60 fps than anything too.

I was just about to reply except something came up. Running the game on 2xAA works for me but when things get a bit hectic you'll see it dip down to the mid 40's. However, Ultra+FXAA will guarantee you a consistently smoother experience.

I'm very jealous of the resolution you are going to be running. That said, most games will run fine on it with a single 670... although, i know its old, but Crysis 1 set to Ultra would take the 670 far below 60 average fps (not even a 680 could run it above 60 fps with maxed gfx). 2560x1440 can require SLI or Crossfire for some games (crysis 1, metro, etc)

For MAX settings.
You can still play at 1440p/1600p on high settings with FXAA/AF/MSAA/ etc turned down or off.
The games still look freakin amazing.
