For some reason i'm scared for using a Seasonic S12 II Bronze 620w with the 670 OC and a OC i5-3570k.
Save me 50$ and tell me that i'll be fine.
It's been 6 years since my last build and i'm putting a lot of money for me in this one and i don't wanna screw up.

Don't skimp on the PSU man. You might want to upgrade.

Im just going to copy/paste what I wrote in another thread. This will give you an idea of power draw of your system.

"I just measured how many watts my system uses with my oc GTX 670 to give you an idea.

System Idle = 144 watts

GTX 670(Folding 99% Load) = 300 watts

3770 @ 4.6ghz(100% load) + GTX 670(99% load) = 385 watts

The GTX 670 is only using 156 watts with 99% load @ 1250mhz. Just in case you say "Its not a GTX 680" I will add that its a full pbc board with one 8 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. Its a Gigabyte Windforce. Remember that it was measured at the wall so actual power usage is lower. I used my AX1200 and a killawatt.

Any ideas on how to fix it? Its 4 days past my return window to Amazon frown.giffrown.giffrown.gif

Check your NV control panel and see what the power setting is. if it's set to adaptive then the clock should drop...

OR

if the power setting is set to maximum performance then set it to adaptive and reboot. the clocks should go down.

EDIT: I had this when it would get stuck at my card's base clock of 980MHz and i had discovered it was set to max performance. so see in your control panel if that's the same and if it is then set it to adaptive and reboot.

@Smokyexe, I am able to run this with my 520W Seasonic M12II (difference is -100watt and it's modular) :

Intel Core i5 2300 2,8GHz
Biostar H61MH
8GB RipjawX 1333mhz
GTX 670 FTW (factory overclocked)
USB Mouse and Keyboard (logitech and trust)
USB Sweex 7.1 sound card
BenQ GL2440H 1080p monitor

So that said, I think you're fine with your 620Watt Seasonic.

Agreed, my friend was using a Cooler master 700w PSU with his i7 3770k and evga gtx 670 4 gb. PSU just died on him and only had it for 2 months. Hope it didn't fry any of his other components. Had my Corsair TX (1st gen) 750w running strong for 3 years now.
