AnToNchez, I live in Australia as well , and it was only $10 apart but I need the $10 for the CPU cooler I got so that how it was and is. Was $479 for EVGA and $489 for the Gigabyte.

I will look at getting a 2nd one later down the road maybe. again will come down to money but I'm save again as of next pay day to get one.


It OK I'm happy getting the EVGA one this is the first time every I pay so much for a card.

I was always the guy that use to get mid/ low and cards as the games I play didn't need need high card. Ages of empire games like that.

But I'm want to play higher end games now and do so 3D stuff and Photoshop as well.

Newegg not posting here is a pain in the ass I see so many great things that I just not able to get.

What wa sthe iste you got your card from if you dont' mind let me know be good to have a US site that send stuff here to get stuff from.

Newegg posting to Australia would be ******* amazing. Even Amazon seem to be picky which things they can send here and can't send here. Their shipping prices aren't always the best also, when they do have an item that they can send out.

The site that I found to post here was Buyspry.com. They were pretty good to me, upgraded my shipping to express 3-5 day after I complained that they asked for a copy of my drivers license. This was before I realized that I forgot to validate my new address through Paypal, and they were just trying to protect me and themselves. So they upgraded my shipping without me asking. I will buy from them again as long as they have what I want. I'm not sure that their range is massive, but if they have what you want they seem to be pretty good. They told me that AU was their biggest market so they tried to look after me.

Good luck with your card. I am very happy with my Gigabyte, and I just got a 3570K to go along with it, so I should be set for a little while now. I only have concern because the EVGA 670's seem to be having a little trouble on forums that I read, but I am not sure which models other than the FTW 4GB cards are having issues.

Anyone with the gigabyte gtx 670 OC they have released the F4 and F12 VBIOS for the card and was wondering if anyone has flashed their cards with them and whether if it is worth doing the flash cos I don't have many issues at the moment.

OK thanks AnToNchez, for site have a looks see tonight.

I can always RMA it if I have to hope I don't need to. and Yes I did see that about the EVGA 4GB ones

I'm waiting on my whole new system to come got a 3770k.

I look at the 3570K but in the end went with the 3770K as this build going to have to do me fro around 3 years maybe 4 to 5years not working a lot so hard to get cash up for a good system so fast

Yeah I understand. The i5 range is more than adequate for gaming atm, an i7 would help you a lot though if you were looking to do any video rendering or very CPU intensive work in the near future. The i7's are great CPU's but you probably could have gotten away with maybe putting a little bit towards a GPU with a custom cooler and a 680 PCB (the Gigabyte being one of them, along with the ASUS and Zotac cards also that I am familiar with). This would have given you FAR better temps and the confidence to also push for a nice overclock. But, your build will come up nice, and depending how familiar you are with PC's, this will all be learning experience for you. I have just gotten back into PC gaming myself, and since last August, I have had 3 CPU's, 3 motherboards, 5 different graphics cards, 3 power supplies, 2 cases, 2 CPU coolers, 2 keyboards. Just because I love the hardware side of things, and also with eBay it is extremely easy to sell your gear to upgrade frequently.

As I become more experienced with hardware again, the little mistakes that I have already made won't happen and I will settle into a more stable build for longer as time goes on. Good luck with the card and the new system.

I have the Gigabyte 670, and have checked out the bios updates but haven't done any flashing. Why are there 2 that look exactly the same? They seems to keep the core and memory clocks the same, I wonder how they could benefit anyone who decides to flash them. My 7950 had a dual bios but unfortunately this card doesn't seem to have a switch.

Yes to a bit of video rendering plus looking at try out some 3D stuff (always want to learn it got the time so going to try) and Photoshop stuff I do and Gaming again.

as for overclocking I this will be my first time at it I got a Noctua NH-C14 All-In-One CPU Cooler a mate of my wife has it on and got it overclock well in to the mid 4ghz zone and temps have been great that on a sand bridge CPU so I thing on a ivy bridge one it have to be better as of the low power needs.

in the end I went for all round great set up with the cash I had at the time. and the 680 was well out of the rage so said but way happy to be getting 670. its all most as good from all I have read about it.

I don't know yet if I will doing any overclocking on the 670 card yet.

Is it real with doing overclocking on the 670? down the 670 hit temp that it automatic slow/backs down the overclock to stop the card from dying.
