About time I replaced the separate amps from my htpc. I'm not sure what the 509's

Streaming Audio From PC (Windows 7 and DLNA compatible)

Is all about. I'm guessing it gets it's own IP and directly connects to these sites? I'm pretty far behind the curve on Audio. All my components are Analog but all I really need is a Phono hook up as the rest is on the HTPC.

Instead of replacing your amps, why don't you just get a pre/pro? I'm guessing the amps in either receiver is not going to outperform the separates you currently have.

I have another use for them as well as wanting to slim down the footprint. I also want centralized control and I want HDMI V1.4a.

I have the 509 and it's a nice little receiver. The whole internet thing is just that. It allows you to stream those internet radio stations or stream from your PC through DLNA. It does not have wireless built in though.

So is the DLNA worth it? Or would you choose a higher end model now without it?

This looks like a good deal.

Too many choices. frown.gif

Not worth it to me. I don't use the streaming on mine. I've tried it and prefer using slacker / pandora through my HTPC. If you do not have a PC hooked up though it could be worth it.

HTPC is all I use for media. I don't have cable or use over the air TV. 99% of content I get is through Miro the rest is Mirc. smile.gif

Then it probably won't be worthwhile for you. I wouldn't factor that in on my decision.

Anyone else have any recommendations or comments on the denon 1912

Well now I'm on the denon 1912 or the TX-NR609
