Good gaming monitor

Thread Starter
So, I'm looking for a monitor. It will be for the gaming rig I am building (GPU will be a GTX 670). I have an iMac for my professional front end development and design work, so I won't be using this new rig for anything other than gaming. I'm not looking for anything larger than 23" 1080p - I don't need the resolution any larger nor the monitor to be any bigger physically due to desk space limitations. Any suggestions? Thanks! smile.gif

Here's a good one from Asus for about $170: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236175

I've got the 23.6" version, and it's worked great for me so far.

Thanks for the recommendation! How is the input lag? Did you run into any issues with dead/stuck pixels?

I will second that I use a Asus VH236h. No input lag, no dead pixels, great picture quality, and best of all...dirt cheap.

I have an Asus VH238H, excellent monitor, got it for $120 after MIR/promo code a year or so ago. Power button to turn on the monitor can be a bit quirky at times, though it could just be how I'm pressing the button. Image quality is great, but like most monitors with built-in speakers, the speakers are garbage

I use it primarily for gaming and I haven't noticed any lag issues or dead/stuck pixels. I've had it for about 7 months, and it's been a flawless experience so far.

I have been using the ASUS VH242H for about 2 years now and its treated me very well. No lag or dead pixels, never had any issues with ghosting or anything like that and I play tons of FPS (most recently BF3 just about every day). Haven't had a single problem with it.
