String of problems in a mid-high spec pc

Thread Starter
Hi, i recently built my first gaming pc but have ran into a host of problems over the last 2 weeks

Basically, blue screen of deaths have popped up several times and lots of games have crashed to desktop:
Dota 2 crahes almost every game
Tf2 has crashed bout 5 times
portal 2 doesnt even load and goes straight to BSOD
bf3 use to crash 10 mins into the game but strangely fixed it by underclocking my gpu
etc.

Im beginning to get incredibly annoyed but i have no idea what the problem is whether its hardware or software. All my drivers for every component are updated fully, my temps are perfectly in a reasonable range and ive endlessly googled to try and see what the problem is

My specs are:
nVidia geforce 560 TI Gigabyte
GA-970A-D3 http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3908#ov
FX-4100
corsiar 8gb ram
750w psu

I have in the past overclocked my cpu as i have a decent case with sufficent fans on it but have reverted back to default and also tried switching the slot for my gpu and ram but to no previal

If any1 has an idea please let me know and if u need more info just ask,
thanks

I know it sounds weird but I've overcome 2 episodes of weird BSOD's just by switching my ram sticks around. windows would show all ram available but odd BSOD still happened.
Give it a try - It cant hurt smile.gif you never know

Reading your problem again.. it sounds like a GPU RMA to be honest...

Try swapping out your graphics card if you have an older one, or borrow one from a friend to see if it's the problem.

hello,
stick by stick memtest with about 7 passes on each,i would do each ram strip over night.if its at stock and the voltage is good.
then change that gpu card out.
