Hello, Im currently running an H100 with the stock fans as exhaust in a 600t case.. Ive been running this on lowest fan profile to reduce noise. I recently boosted my overclock a bit and decided to run it on the balanced profile but the noise is pretty bothersome.. Does anyone know if i switched the fans to some noise blockers or gentle typhoons if the sound will be any better? Ive read that if I replace the fans the fan control on the block of the h100 wont work anyone can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

If it was mine then i would use them to pull air in and exhaust out the back. As the outside air is going to be cooler then the air inside your case. If you are exhausting then you are pushing warm air from inside the case through the rad.
As the front pulls air in and the back exhaust. the default fan up top was a exhaust but it sucks like that. I would put some gentle typhoons ap-15's on it. But just try swapping them around and see if you like that better. you can always buy a fan controller and make life a lot easier also. Thanks
Edit: How do you have your fans installed? Two outside the case in the top. Are all of them under the plate? Changing them around could help the noise issue also.

The fan review link in my sig uses an H100, stock fans in push vs spectre pros in pull. The S Pros are around 10-15db IIRC.

thanks for the reply.. ill try and swap the fans around.. my thinking was that by pushing air in the case it would be warm air cuz it was cooling the rad down.. Do you know if the ap15s will work with the fan control on the h100? If not do you think ap-15s running at 1850 rpm will be quieter then the stock fans on the h100 running at 1300 rpm on low? thanks

@ sniperteamtango Thanks, ill definitively look at that review.
@ Killer_K Currently i have my rad inside my case with the two stock fans in exhaust in the upper compartment of the 600T case.. my ram heatsinks are too tall and won't allow a push pull configuration.. so im stuck with ether push or pull. If i use the fans as a push confguration do you think that one exhaust fan will suffice? i also have the side panel with two intake fans on it. thanks

If you can you should do this.
Casetop
Fans blowing into case
Rad
Its better to bring in cool air then remove hot air. Push Pull only nets a signifigant advantage on thicker rads.

What kind of temp reduction did you see changing the stock fans to Spectre Pros? And how loud are the stock ones?

1-2 degree difference, and the spectre pros even in push pull are inaudible. The stock H100 fans are currently one of the loudest fans if not the loudest 120mm on the market.
