Will Big Water 735 work on a AM3 (Phenom II)

Thread Starter
I am posting this for BrownPride. He just picked up a Thermaltake Big Water 735 brand new in a trade. Will that original block work on a 965? All I could find out is the block will work for K8, 775 sockets and AM2. I know AM2/3/3+ is pretty much the same, but not sure how this kit would cool.

Thanks

After a little research, it appears, yes.
The cooler should fit, as the bracket has not changed for AM2/AM2+/AM3

Tell him to throw it out. That kit is absolutely awful, the pump will fail, the cooling is miserable. If he wants to save himself a huge headache he won't use that.

To, don't listen to people like Kinru, unless someone's owned a tk wc, don't listen. I purchased 4 years ago a big water kit at radiOshack on sale for 30 bucks. Res(squared) pump, hoses, coolant and 120mm rad. It cooled my E8400 oc'd to 3.8(mobo limited) and load temps were 55-58. It's a sweet little kIt. DO though, put that soft white thread wrapping fabric on the barb threads, it's name escapes me right now, and leak test ATLEAST 3 hours.

Yes don't listen to me, nor do a google search and find tons of other people who have had that kit fail on them. Thermaltake is notorious for awful watercooling "kits" and anyone who can use google will find that out very quickly.

everything breaks, everyone complains, there are complaints about everything on google.

dont just google bad reviews,

google good ones also, the good ones will be more indepth on average and explain the product, not why the product failed (and some times, not all, it is also end user fault, which might not be mentioned in such review)

I hope you guys are trolling me. That big water kit has a weak pump that fails, poor cooling performance even compared to good air coolers, is prone to leaks, and comes with a bad block. It was a poor product 2 years ago and hasn't gotten any better with time.
