During CES, SilverStone power exhibited very interesting: a block of SFX 450W, certification 80Plus Gold. Block that we had seen at CeBIT, but at that time, the brand told us something else: a modular variation was on track.

Looks great, but what are the 5 sockets exactly? I guess ATX 24, two PCI 6+2 and CPU 4+4, but what will the 8 pin blue one deliver? I hope at least two Sata and one old 4-pin molex?

Nope, the blue one 8pin is the pcie 6pin, the 2black 6pins are actually sata/molex and the black 8pin is the 4+4 and the big one is a no brainer

So you are suggesting this won't support 8+6 pin video cards, despite the non-modular version of the same wattage doing exactly that?

Only a single 6-pin? Then what's the point of having a 450W PSU if it wont even power a fairly high-end card like a 560 Ti?

On the bronze version of this PSU, the 6pin PCI splits into two: a 6pin and 6+2pin. The wires can easily carry the double amperage, and it's single rail anyway so electrically it doesn't matter. But it's unfortunate because it's quite hard to sleeve a double cable coming out of a 6pin PCI, so that's why I was hoping for 2x6pin PCI sockets.
