Any 27" 2560*1440 IPS Korean monitor with DisplayPort under $500?

Thread Starter
I just wondered if there were any 27" 2560*1440 IPS monitors with DisplayPort for under $500?

I've seen the Crossover 2720MDP but it's too risky and the monitor itself looks ugly.

Reason I need displayport is because my computer only has displayport to output 2560*1440 and I don't want to buy a displayport to dual DVI adapter as spending $60 on an adapter feels a bit stupid to me.

I know the Microboard Q270-DP have displayport but I've asked a fair few sellers and they either don't stock it or don't have any info in it. I've also asked for the price of the Shimian QH270-IPSMDP but sellers are quoting $600+.

Thanks.

Why not just buy the adapter for 60 and a shimian for 300? you'll still come out ahead

Just make sure you do your research on the adaptor as quite a few will have weird issues.

Seems I might have to go that route, I'd rather spend that $60 on my hardware or on the monitor itself though. $60 for an adapter seems stupid. I can't even find them for that much anymore either atm (from the UK). Can only see it for like $80.. frown.gif

Ah really? Do you remember vaguely what type of issues people had? I've read t he whole thread but don't remember reading anything about issues with DP to dual link DVI adapters.

What was $500? Do you mean your HP monitor? We can't get it here for that price I'm afraid. I can get a refurbished Dell U2711H for around $550 but they either come with a small scratch, a dead pixel or something like that. It's probably the cheapest as the HP ZR2740w goes for around $750 new and I've not seen any used/refurbished/open box ones in the UK.
