Phase Change cooling for DIY Projector

Hello guys

I have built a Projector with Bulb, now i want to replace this with 100w LED, Now LED generates huge heat so, for this i wish to use Phase Change cooling,

the advantages of this phase change cooing with DIY PJ is

1. improves Colour Temparaturs
2. More Lumen output
3. Longer life of LED and other parts.

Now, can any one suggest me from where i start..

I know the main part of Phase change cooling is Compressor what is the best compressor for this? as i use this in projector, it should be less noise and light weight. currently when LED is operated with single row radiator water cooling the temperature is around 40deg, now when power watts are increased to LED the heat will also increase, so i want to the evaporator to be at ~ -10 to -20 degrees

You could get away with a small 12v compressor tbh, the benefit of these are they're small, power efficient, quiet and can dynamically adjust speed depending on heat load.

Do you know how many watts of the heat the LED is churning out at peak?

I am not much techy guy to understand the specs of the compressor, can you give me good link to 12v compressor? Also which is the best place to buy this compressor?

The wattage of LEDs and light bulbs are completely different. You want similar lumen ratings, not wattage. You could also go for an array of LEDs instead of a single large one. That'd decrease heat output and probably be a lot safer than running all that juice for the big LED.

This, and also, remember that LEDs do not generate a 'huge amount of heat'. A light bulb will generate WAY more heat than a LED array. The problem with LEDs is that they need to be kept in a much tighter temperature margin. You want them to ideally be below 50-55ºC, while a discharge arc bulb can operate up to a few hundred degrees Celsius (the inner arc is up in the thousands, though)

Here is a 12v compressor you can use. They are expensive but do have their place Aspen
