I wonder whether these are all multi-threaded?
Whereas the module-based system of Piledriver and Bulldozer means IPC with 4-core tasks is less than with 2-core tasks (2 cores/module), then on single-threaded/dual-threaded tasks Trinity would hvave much better results (oh and combine that with Turbo Boost!). Also, I'm curious as to what RAM was used here.... 1333Mhz as standard and there would be bottlenecks.

Trinity = pretty much a Sandy Bridge mobile i5 part - with much better graphics.
Whether or not this is appealing to consumers, however, is the question. Would you prefer Ivy Bridge i5 performance + HD 4000 graphics or Sandy Bridge i5 performance + graphics performance well-beyond what the HD 4000 can offer?

CPU performance is horrible on the A10s. The A6 is faster in wPrime for a couple of reasons 1) the A6 is Athlon-based, so it likely has superior IPC to this Bulldozer derivative 2) the A6 is a quad-core clocked three hundred Mhz higher than A10s and 500Mhz higher than the Sandy Bridge dual-core.

I believe AIDA make use of all the threads for benchmark.
As for RAM, 1333 is pretty much de facto standard for budget/mainstream laptop. You will only see faster RAM on more expensive laptops.

So no real increase on the CPU side vs the Llano?
The A10 doesn't even match the last gen mobile SB CPU performance.

Remember, games is where the A8's shine. Sandy Bridge slaughtered them everywhere else.

Ugh, what a bodged together chart for comparison...25W cpus vs 45W beast systems
random TDP and clocks... *** why is 35W trinity clocked lower than 25W trinity, it should certainly be clocked a fair bit higher than llano, otherwise it will be worse....
Think ill wait for the launch on the 15th for some proper reviews
