External Radiator Fan Cables connector Bracket

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I have an external Mora 3 radiator with 9 fans and 2 D5 pumps attached to it. I actually need to find a "clean" way to connect/ disconect all these cables to my main tower through a modified bracket.

The only bracket that has exactly the ports i need is this:
http://www.thekoolroom.com/product/phobya-pci-slot-cover-molex-3x3-fan-plug/

The problem with this bracket is that all the external ports are powered by the molex found in the inner side of the bracket, while i would need the internal ports to be the same as the externals.

If you have any ideas on how i could build such a backet, I would appreciate it...

Here is a view of my messy cablestorm at the back of my setup:

First you could use a 9X 3pin molex cable to connet all the fan

Well, my fan controller can sustain up to 6watt per channel, so i use 3 fans per channel. That means i have 3x 3pin cables going to my pc plus 2 molex from the 2x D5 pumps.

Time to think out-of-the box...how about building your own bracket out of some mini-XLR connectors? thumb.gif

This would be the optimum solution, but i could not find anywhere the correct socckets ( 3 pin and molex ) that can be installed in a custom made by me bracket. Such sockets should have at least male at one side and female layout at the other side.

Now, regarding the XLR6 connector, i dont know if there is a version of it at the size-diameter of a pc bracket.

If you have any picture examples, that would help a lot...

Thanks...

Yeah, I couldn't find a mini-xlr specification, but a mini-DIN would just fit.

EDIT: there are smaller variations.

Nice links, thank you!
(Still, both adaptors you mention are too wide for my bracket size (max 10.8mm))

Do you just happen to know if a simple DB-15 socket would be able to sustain the load of all these fans PLUS the 2 D5 pumps?

Edit:
And then, i would use the above mentioned cable with this ready socket
