The game is going for $9.99 on steam and it includes the bonus DLC Soviet Russia. me and my cousin are about to purchase this awesome game but not quite sure if there are any online people playing it, or even if there are any servers running so we can play together.

If anyone has the game, would you please confirm that there are servers running.

I will +rep anyone with useful information. thumb.gif

From what people are saying, at any given time there is around 700-800 server running, although with many of them being empty. You probably wont have hundreds of servers with good ping, lots of people and the settings you want, but you should be able to find a good handful of servers that are good.

Havent played the game in over a year so I personally cant say. But a year ago it was still pretty easy to find servers.

Get the game, if only because the single player missions ARE actually fun and enthralling biggrin.gif

Get the "WIC: Soviet Assault" pack and you can play both the American and Soviet missions, which are interspersed with one another. One caution: I've noticed a bug which will cause the game to appear to not run - basically if you save your game, exit and then try to run WIC again, it may hang at a blank screen. Deleting your old savegames fixes the problem. I don't know if this has been patched yet but the game will try to autodownload the patch the first time you connect to the central game server.

I have already played all the missions on the normal version (US) of WIC. it is really darn fun, in my current situation though. i am required to get the game for online/multiplayer play with my cousin. Yes i know that single player was awesome, but i am still not quite sure if there are people playing this game every now and then. in reality an empty server would do the job simply because me and my cousin would be playing solo for some training until we can verses the world.
