Corsair H100 profiles - what do they change?

Thread Starter
So I just bought a fan controller today, and plugged in the push/pull fans that were previously plugged into the H100, so now the two 3-pin fan outlets are empty. Ever since I did this, the profile LEDs haven't worked, put the pump seems to be fine. All the fans are working, but here's my question: what exactly do the 3 profiles on the H100 do? Do they only change fan speed? Or do they also change pump performance?
