I guess I should start putting an owner's list together. Will do it after I finish my statics homework.

Yup, I am running Clean ROM as well. Going switch over to MoDaCo tomorrow to see how it compares...

I got lost. I rooted it, unlocked my bootloader, failed the RUU (because the bootloader was unlocked), and still haven't put any custom recovery on it (CWM), so I have done 90% of the work but haven't gotten any reward from it yet. frown.gif

I feel so bad for you guys in the US with AT&T. You have been screwed over so bad on what is easily the greatest Android device to date. They have messed with the CPU, GUI and Done everything in their power to try and stop rooting, unlocking the boot-loader and installing a custom ROM. Considering that HTC is prob the most Dev/Mod friendly manufacturer im surprised they allowed AT&T to do this or did it them selves (im not up to date on exactly who did what to mess with the US AT&T HOX, I just know that you have to put up with a late release, a dual core instead of the mighty Nvidia Quad and some changes to the GUI because of US patent issues)

Im lucky and live in the UK and got mine shortly after release. I love it, I have owned HTC Phones since Android came out on the G1/Dream which I bought on the day they were released after being talked out of getting an iPhone on my contract by the guy in the shop, I hadn't really heard of Android till that day and since then have never looked back and stuck with HTC on every upgrade.

My first was the G1 (UK Version of HTC Dream) which was the very first Android phone. I still have it and it still works fine. Its flashed to a 2.1 ROM and is in the glove box of my car as an emergency phone as the battery stays charged for months when its turned off.

My first upgrade came at the perfect time on the week that the Desire was released so I upgraded to my HTC Desire without even a thought about other brands.

About 6 months before my contract was up for renewal the last time, my friend was hard up and needed some cash so I bought his Desire HD from him which is also a nice phone if not a little bit of a pointless upgrade for the desire. I ended up giving the HD back to my buddy and my standard Desire is now sat in my living room with the Desire ICS ROM installed and I use it as an ftp file server, web cam and spare WiFi hub/hotspot if my broadband goes down or I need a 2nd connection.

Once my contract was up for renewal this year once again I was lucky as the HTC One X had been released just 2 weeks earlier so I had a chance to check out the reviews on it (as I was thinking about waiting for the Galaxy S3 - Glad I didn't) all the reviews had nothing but praise for the HOX and on upgrade day off I went to track down what would be my best ever phone and my current HTC One X.
I had to go to 3 different towns and about 15 stores in total before I found one that had just one HOX in stock and behold after 30 mins of paperwork the prize was mine! (It turned out that stocks were so low in the first month or so that TMobile and Orange were only sending 1 single HOX out to each of its stores at a time and only sending another when the one they had was sold. They didn't even have display/demo models at that point. I was just happy it was the Black model which is what I wanted although I would of settled for the White model if it had come to that.

I am rooted and have CWM Touch installed along with the latest version of LeeDroid custom ROM which is the most stable ROM for the One X currently I believe and is as close as it gets to the stock HTC Sense ROM but adds a ton of awesome features, settings and increases power saving and battery life as well as some excellent tweaks to speed up apps and launches without changing the look and feel of HTC Sense 4.0 which is already pretty awesome without any mods really (not that this beast needs speeding up, it powers through anything you throw at it.). The One X is one of the few Droids you could happily use with its stock ROM and just having it rooted for those extra apps and access.

Anyway that's my HTC story. Am glad to be here amongst other HOX owners. Despite what people say about the S3 I firmly believe that the HOX is the superior device, the S3 is good and its close but the HTC just has that little extra to give!

They are awesome, once you get the basics of Android you will never go back to another mobile OS and the One X is one device that does NOT disappoint!

I agree, AT&T sucks. I stay with them because I have unlimited data, unlimited text, and might as well have unlimited minutes for $77/mo.

However, as I stated above. I rooted and unlocked my bootloader just fine on my AT&T One X.

Also, I would much prefer the dual core S4 over the Tegra 3...

-It has slightly better cpu performance even being dual core, and slightly less gpu performance. Source

-It has LTE.

-It has considerably better batter life. Source

Anandtech's conclusion
Quote:
The One X is an amazing first productization of Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4. It's absolutely everything we wanted.

/edit And the little extra the HOX has over the GS3 is the non pen tile display. I hate pentile, makes everything looked textured.
