That's about average for Gentle Typhoons unless you get them in a group buy or bare bones, that is without the 3 pin connector.

Shipping was free on the two lowest priced vendors there. Also, there are other listings on amazon.com alone.

How about Akasa vipers/apaches? I'm quite fond of 'em personally.
You should be taking the specs listed by manufacturers with a grain of salt, Scythe's are pretty close to the truth iirc but some are just utter rubbish.
e: The tests by martin someone mentioned. Click.

Those tests are only about noise though. These are fans. Shouldn't performance (temps) be the first priority? Noise can be handled by throttling and your speakers.

Sorry if I sound annoyed, but I've been pulling my hair out today trying to pick up some good blue led fans so I can move into my new case and use my h100. Preferably, something off of newegg.

The YL fans sound like they may be what I want, but I can't find a review of their performance through a radiator. Or why they're a better choice than some of the offerings on newegg.

They don't even show the static pressure. The other fans are pwm, so they will throttle down to quiet levels. When they are at their loudest is when I'll be in a game or something, so the speakers or headphones will cover that up.

Please keep in mind that almost every single fan manufacturer blatantly lies about the specs of their fans. They can get away with it because most consumers don't have the tools or know-how to test their products.

ehume did a review of some xinruilians on OCN here and compared it to a whole lot of other fans. Frankly, if I were to buy some fans right now I'd probably get those.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I know you're specifically looking for blue LEDs and the xinruilians aren't, so something on that list should come in some variety of blue.

They are? Then what is the anemometer for?..

The capacity of air is the primary bottleneck in a radiator, so the more air you move through the radiator the better the performance. Sure testing temperature would be another method of doing the same thing, but an anemometer is much faster and a good representation of the same thing.

You also missed the blue LED yate I tested here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/859483/round-6-fan-testing-working-thread/90#post_11302154

It's not bad, but not as good as regular yates regarding noise.

Really if you don't care about noise and only care about performance AND want blue LED, buy the fastest (RPM) blue LED fan you can find. No need to complicate it..thumb.gif

Coolermaster R4s are a fairly high speed LED option, I don't think I have seen anything higher speed in an LED.

Blue UV fans and a carefully placed cathode might be an option too. I believe cathodes are only $10-15, and you would have the option to add more UV gear later too.

Or you could say screw all of that and go blue chrome.

It isn't that I don't care about noise. I just don't see why it is relevant when it can't be heard over the speakers when throttled up.

Tapatalk isn't liking links today. Keeps bringing up a blank page. I assumed it was something I was reading earlier that you posted that was all about noise.

Unfortunately, R4's don't work with the h100. They like to randomly stop spinning and/or try to impersonate a Delta fan.

I don't ramp my speakers up. I just don't care about noise if I can't hear the fans while using my speakers for anything. If I'm playing BF3, I don't want the fans drowning out the gunfire. If I can't hear them while gaming, its a non issue.
