Of course, the fact that the Benchmark tool is totally broken for me causes me to wonder ... is everyone else's results totally accurate as well thinking.gif
I'm still not convinced there's not something inherently different between how this bench runs on Arni and Dimmy's systems, vs. Youra and mine's. His and mine 'make sense' in terms of the perf difference to me. The difference between ours, and that of Dimmy and Arni ... really doesn't to me. Youra is rocking a ton of CPU power, and similar clocks, but he's only around 4% ahead of my last run here, which makes sense as a CPU discrepancy, mitigated slightly by my higher GPU clocks (I'm at 1325/1800 on these last few runs) headscratch.gif
I'm wondering if there's any sort of mods involved ... mine is pure, unadulterated Steam install, totally untouched.
Also ... Dimmy and Youra, what DRIVERS are you on?

 

Yeah, I'm having a tough time dissecting this one. I just ran Crysis again forcing AA to 4AA and making sure the resolution was set to 1080p and my fps is still <67.

I'm using 301.34 drivers.

It really is odd, and I think the benchmark tool just isn't reliable. That's why I'm switching to Warhead for the AMD/NV comp benches in the OP.

Okay, so I've settled on final clocks of 1335c/1750m (or 3500 or 7000, whatever ya wanna call it) which turns out to be a little faster than what I did all the benchmarks at ... oh well. The 470's weren't maxed either thumb.gif

Also added Crysis WH benchs to main thread (using AMD compatible settings). Decided to run Ambush, Frost, and Avalanche Flythrough. Ran them all at 1325/1800 ... cut back on core clock to maximize memory bandwidth.

Hey, brett, I wish I could contribute those 3 Warhead benchmark tests. But I do not have the game installed and my Warhead retail disc is on loan to my nephew.

I don't own Vantage, so I can't test that at the "High" preset and the performance preset is heavily CPU-dependant.

Looks like another slight win for my 7970 here biggrin.gif

The funny thing is that I could bench at higher clocks (although that would probably be an unfair comparison as very few 7970s reach past 1300MHz on air.)
