XFX Double D 695X or EVGA GTX 570?

Thread Starter
I'm trying to decide between ATI and NVidia, as usual, I've had this debate before and went with ATI instead. I've been happy with the performance I've gotten (Radeon HD 5670), but the drivers are starting to annoy me - they're to the point where I can't even start Catalyst Control Center at the moment.

Anyway, the two cards:
XFX Double D 695X

EVGA GTX 570

My main concern over the 6950 is the drivers, I've heard mixed reviews of them being fantastic and others of them still being childish with problems such as the one I have now. As for the GTX 570, I'm worried about the temp's I've seen recorded during gaming. I'm all for performance, but I don't want to risk blowing $300 on a graphics card if it melts down.

Application wise, I'd be using this for HD video rendering, a bit of 3D modeling here and there (Autodesk Inventor 2012), architecture renderings (Autodesk Revit 2012), and I'd like to be able to run my games on a decently high setting (preferably max on Battlefield 3).

Thanks in advance!

570
nvidia is known to be the better chip mfg. for video encoding and what not because of cuda and if I rem correctly It is a slight upgrade from the 6950

I'd go with the GTX 570. EVGA > XFX all day for customer service. 570's don't run as hot as the 400 series did, it would probably get to around 80C or so running a GPU intense game like bf3. At least that's around the temp my old evga gtx580 got up to. It wasn't bad though, the max temp is 105C, so it was well within spec.
