I've heard that Ausus RMA process can be a bit of a PIA.
Now you've got to find out what is causing the short.
When you do get the motherboard back in the case, and it still will not post, try disconnecting the reset switch, it could also be shorting out.

IT WAS THE RESET SWITCH THIS WHOLE TIME!! As soon as I unplugged the reset switch and powered, "beep" Sunofa!

*pounds forehead on desk*
