Transfer files 4gb+ from osx to windows?

How do you do this? I've got a file which is 7gb and it's on my mac, but I need to get it into a windows pc. The only format supported by both us fat which is max of 4gb.

I've got the ntfs drivers, so I formatted the usb as ntfs on windows, but when put into my mac I can't copy files to it.

Any ideas?

Are they on the same network? If yes just a share a folder from your windows machine and copy it across. I do this all the time.

This took me a while to figure out, even though the solution was right there the entire time.

Using Disk Utility, format your transfer drive/partition to exFAT. It'll be supported by Snow Leopard, XP+patch, and newer versions of both.
