SOLVED: I need some help getting this Llano build going

Thread Starter
I am currently throwing together a new rig for my dad with the following:

A8-3870k
F1A75-V PRO
Seagate Momentus 5400.6 250gb (I think this might be the issue just because it's not the best)

I am trying to throw W7 on it but as soon as I choose to install it goes to the select driver option, I have tried AHCI as well as IDE. The HDD I think is from an old Xbox 360 but is format-able and usable in my other rig.

I'm confused as to why I need a driver for such a basic install. Any of you have any ideas?

SOLVED:

After I spent a considerable amount of time throwing every driver I could think of at it. It turned out to be a BIOS issue, after updating to the most recent version the install was flawless.

Glad to hear you resolved your issues. I'm actually in the process of building a nearly identical build for my father. Let me know what his impressions were! I'll list any issues that I run into if there are any...
