need help picking out a PSU

some of my friends pointed out to go for a RAIDMAX RX-1200AE 1200W but im not sure if i need that much or how reliable said PSU is .... I do want a little room for upgrades and im going to do some overclocking, so far the system set up im looking about doing is:

Asus sabertooth z77
intel core i7-3370k (ivy bridge)
Corsair H100
G.SKILL Ripjaws X serires 16GB(4x4GB) ([may decide for a ram set up of 4 2GB])
2x geforce gtx 670 SLI (may decide for just one not sure yet)
LITE-ON 12X Blu-ray Burner
Western Digital caviar black 1TB ([for storage])
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120GB SSD ([for boot drive])

useing a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case which means 200mm fans(3x color sift) and a 140mm fan

the corsair H100 will take the place of one of the 200mm fans which will also have the 2 120mm stock fans replaced and 2 fans added for a push pull system in which the 4 fans will be COUGAR CF-V12HP

A good 550W would already be enough. I think the Raidmax RX-1200AE is rebranded Andyson E Series. It's kinda old but nothing particularly special, good or bad, except that most 1200W units have higher efficiency these days. Some Raidmax power supplies are much worse. It would be fine, but I'd certainly get something else instead.

Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W would be a good fit, and it's at $120, a lower price than usual. It's the best thing available around that wattage. Well really, it's more like a 650W 80 plus gold unit labeled at 550W to reach 80 plus platinum...

antec makes very good PSUs and newegg is now doing a 15% off sale on them.

1200W is way over kill. a good 650W or 750W will be plenty

I actually found out about that not too long ago after checking up on what I want.... and I don't think I have much to worry about that since 70%-80% of the time on a computer I have music on and using headphones.... also the question was about on looking for a PSU not fans


anyways I think i'll go with a 800w after doing more look up on things dealing with each component and if it comes down to it i can see about a supplementary PSU
