Monitor detection issue.

Hey all,

Been a while since I've posted here, but I'm looking at becoming more active now that I've got some free-time from college and work.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand.

I'm running three Samsung SyncMaster SA550 (Great monitors, btw, minus the stands, grr).

Sometimes, after the computer has been idling and the displays turn off (or I lock the computer and turn off the monitors for a period of time) I'll come back and only two of the three monitors will be recognized. In both CCC and the windows display setup, the monitor in question is detected, but there's no picture on the monitor as it cycles back and forth between analog and HDMI (hooked up via HDMI).

Drivers are up to date on everything, including the two 6970s running in xFire.

What's my problem?

Thanks for the help!

Well, it's still doing it. Must be one of those unsolveable mysteries!

I'm tired of having to reboot my computer to get the left monitor recognized again.

Card Issue? maybe Run a GPU Stress Test for 24Hr, then Prime for 24Hr. Make sure everything is stable.

Well, cards are running at stock right now, and all three monitors are plugged into the master card. It seems the active-display adapter is always the one that does it. But it doesn't always happen, which is the strangest thing.
