Should I buy another video card?

Thread Starter
Currently have 2 sapphire 6850's with crossfire configuration. Im getting tired of all the driver issues with ATI and crossfire. At the end of the day, I dont think it is really worth it to have a crossfire configuration.

I was looking at this card
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Superclocked-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B004KZHRAM/ref=sr_1_4?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1336959545&sr=1-4

Do you think it is worth it for me 2 sell my 6850's and buy this 1? any other suggestions are welcome. I dont want to spend more than $300.00

thanks

You're looking at a decent drop in performance. If you think the performance drop and saved cash is worth your driver issues, I don't see why not

What kind of issues are you having exactly? Have you tried asking for advice on how to fix the issues or at least read up on them? Performance issues or stability issues, etc? Before going for that big of a drop in performance, I'd exhaust my other options if you haven't already.
That would be a massive performance drop, one that I imagine is far larger than issues you are having with your XFire setup.

When I say driver issues, I'm meaning crossfire support for certain games. Some games perform better when I turn off crossfire than leaving it on. Of course the benchmarks are great with crossfire but it just depends if the game takes full advanatage of it or not.

I would rather have a beast single card. I dont care if it is ATI or Nvidia. What is a good single card that is comparable to my crossfire 6850's

thanks

when you say you dont want to spend more than $300, is that before or after you sell your 6850's. Sell your 6850's for $200, toss in another $100 or so and grab a gtx 580
