Ya, the pricing on the newer gen cards is pretty high to be honest. They don't seem to be getting rid of previous gen cards as fast as previous years. It's more like their going to continue selling previous gen cards as a lower price bracket instead of phasing them out all that fast.

The 7850/7870 are essentially rebranded 69XX series cards on a die shrink, and they sell for a higher price to boot. The fact that stores are still selling 480's amazes me too.
