And if I can play diablo 3 on max settings with an average of 30-40 fps, i'm gonna be happy already. smile.gif

you could always start with the card and just try it....since you need a gpu any way it won't be a waste wink.gif

i understand tight money...worth a try....if it doesn't do what you want replace everything else and put your new card in it

anyway thanx for taking time and smoking some braincells like i did biggrin.gif

how will it be slower

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/289?vs=80
(and thats the slower one i didn't pick)

and it will get better GPU preformance, and memory performnace

edit: you may beable to run it off a cheap IB i5, with IGU (wicth is actually nice now) and save up for a gpu later, and pair it with virtu mvp, and get about 40% better gpu performance

the 560ti is a must or at least a 460 but the 570 is much better.. so i took it for 9k..
i wanted to take good brands so i took the bundle for 6k what is not beatable because only one of the newer cpu´s
cost 3k or more at LEAST... + newer board then and ddr3 ram what will kill the budget ragarding he needs a psu too,
the 940 is sligtly faster than a q9300 and can hold the 560ti on the last instance. pls try and let me so how you solved this puzzle.
the site almost killed my brain :/

Thanks for checking it out, and I appreciate you taking the time to really check out my local online store. I must say, the search function of that site is really really crappy. Anyhow, i've checked the links you provided, and both of them are second hand parts, i'm a little hesitant to buy 'already used' parts at the moment so i'm sticking my budget to brand new parts. But i'm looking at your advice of taking a 560 ti instead of the 550ti.

So far I have this:
Proc: Phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz (Black Edition) = Php 6200 = $148
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P, AM3+ = Php 2500 = $59.5
GFX card: Palit Geforce GTX 560 Ti Sonic 1024mb 256bit gddr5 = Php 10620 = $253
Ram: Team Elite 4gb 4gbx1 DDR3 1333 w/heat spreader = Php 1150 = $27
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 2 500W = Php 2100 = $50
Case: Generic ATX case = Php 618 = $15

That brings me to $552.5

Someone pointed out to me that I should get a dual channel ram, so I think i chose the wrong ram in the above setup. Is there a recommendable brand for gaming RAMs? I see G.skill a lot on our online store, but i'm unsure of it's performance, (or if ram brand even matters?).

thanks for the suggestions bro! My only concern is that I do not have access to discounts like what you had on that quotation, and like what smex pointed out, there might be an issue of performance relative to the initial plan?

the mail in rebates are not counted in the finial price, and what do you mean a performance issue?

well I mean, wouldn't the performance of a phenom x4 be better than an i3?

not really, and if so not by much, and the ivy bridge i3 will outperform it for sure,

NOTE: this is the slower i3 on the bench
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/289?vs=80
go down to the bottom to see gaming performance

edit the x4 will only win in multi threading, and only by about 3%

edit:edit: and if you use ludic virtu the i3 will way out preform a phenom II x4 with the same video card
