Ordered Sager NP6110, Will make overview soon.

Hello forums,

So after 2 weeks of browsing and posting, (I sincerely apologize for asking/making so much threads here.) I have finally chosen to purchase the Sager/Clevo NP6110 11.6" laptop.

I ended up with an i5 because I've heard that the 3rd gen processors are quite hot and simply I cannot afford an extra $100. My second choice was the Lenovo Y480, because it had the 3rd gen i7..but with a slightly weaker and disappointing GPU. But in the end I went with the Sager because of the temp issues with the ivy.

2nd gen. intel i5-2450M
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
500GB 7200RPM
Window 7 Home Premium
also with an external DVD drive ($20)

Total with free shipping comes up to $918


So what do you guys think? Was it a good purchase? I couldn't wait any longer because I am going to need it for work soon and I cannot carry my desktop around..haha.

If possible, could you guys suggest some decent/cheap notebook coolers for the NP6110?

I will also be making a video of an overview of this laptop (I am aware others have already made videos of it.) The video won't be much about the interior but the exterior and my own personal opinion. (Simply because of my lack of knowledge on laptop parts..so I'll focus on the aesthetics and maybe some clips of me playing games on it.) Just to help others who might be interested in this laptop out.. I don't want others to have the same pain as I did not knowing much about things like heat, fan noise, etc.

If making a overview of this laptop is against the ToS or some sort, then delete this thread. (Apologize ahead of time just in case..)

I agree, I almost purchased the y470p awhile back.. decided to wait for y480. The y480 in my opinion is still nice, with the stunning back lit keyboard and aluminum brushed cover (For the dusk grey version.) In the end I chose the NP6110 simply because I think I'll like the small form factor, even though some complains about eye strain, etc.. Has anyone had any experience with XoticPC? How long does it take usually for them to confirm (Credit), build (Simplest features, not much add-ons), and deliver? This was my first time and I'm kinda curious.

Yes, I have seen your thread, and I must thank you for starting it because it helped me in a way to choose the NP6110 over the y480. I concluded that it wasn't worth the puchase because of the weaker GPU, it had ivy bridge, but then those heats up more than the SB (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So I thought why not just get the NP6110 with SB (Although 2nd gen, still decent.) and a better GPU.

I'm really hoping I made the right choice with the 11", we'll have to see... T_T"

I went with SB and 650m haha so does ivy really heat up more than sb?
