How to: Attach a fan to your north bridge heatsink.

Thread Starter
This is a very simple and effective way of cooling your chipset heatsink. http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...0/ppuser/22952 All I really did was tie some string around the chipset clamp and through the fan mount holes. I made sure that the knots I tied were in the holes as not to interfere with the fan. http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...7/ppuser/22952 I can't measure temps on my chipset effectively so I didn't bother. As I said this is a simple mod that can be done with just a fan and string. I am sure that you could even use an 80mm fan if you had the room on the motherboard. http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...//ppuser/22952

Needs a bit cleaning up, but nice job anyway. Those clips seems to make it alot easier to attach a fan to your northbridge
