Yeah, looks like this is still socket 2011. Wondering when 1355 will arrive.

The E5-4600 series processors are 4P Sandy Bridge-EP on LGA2011.
The E5-2400 series processors are 2P Sandy Bridge-EN on LGA1356 (with only 24 PCI-E 3.0 lanes and a triple channel memory controller).
The E3-1200 V2 series processors are 1P Ivy Bridge Xeons on LGA1155.

All three series launched today.

Typo, or did you really mean 1356?

Yep, I meant 1356. Check out halfway down on page 3 of Intel's Price List, it lists the prices for the E5-2400 series, and indicates that they are on LGA1356.

I think there are some articles indicating that Supermicro and Tyan launched Socket B2 (1356) motherboards today.

EDIT: Here is Tyan's Press Release.

This is the TYAN S7045, a dual socket LGA1356 motherboard.

As long as you don't need overclocking or the on die GPU, it absolutely is a steal. Nice TDP too......69W.
