Raging, out-of-control AMD fiends tend to receive this kind of treatment. Don’t take it personal...

Computerparts, Truckerguy, and some of the others here have done the same too. Yet none of them can attest to your claims of "Night and Day," differences.
Again, who are YOU to lend an opinion here about something you have no firsthand knowledge of. The fact that youre discrediting OCN members automatically discredits your own claims. Please dont make me explain why.
Do you really feel it is necessary to be introducing me to your circle of BFF? The fact that you and your BFF pc-illiterate have yet to respond to any of my referenced reviews speaks volumes.

Hardwarecanucks: "Overall then, while Zambezi might have been a very capable competitor to Intel's Bloomfield LGA1366 and Lynnfield LGA1156 series, its allure whithers when placed head-to-head against modern-day Sandy Bridge processors. Generally speaking it can hold its own in modern games, but mostly in situations where the GPU is acting as the bottleneck, since it takes the CPU out of the equation a bit."

first, what i said that was removed has been quoted biggrin.gif
second, you keep posting news and reviews that are a year old. as you were told, read real reviews by users. only USERS have continuously benched/reviewed the fx series post FEBRUARY 2012. programs are NOW implementing instructions to put bd architecture to use. stop pretending that you know something.
grow up. get your head out of the sand. stop thinking you know everything.

as you have been told previously, go look at sandy bridges release news. it was fail because of motherboards.
as 2adv will tell you, we arent friends. not in the least. he pushes amd. i post experience with both my amd and my intels. im not biased.
you sir lack all abilities of comprehension of reason and common sense to grasp what you have been told over and over. your posts reflect that.
as your ocn title states, youre a fan man. and you have the audacity to post the last garbage post that you did. lol@u
you fail. no soup for you. back of the line.
good game, no rematch biggrin.gif

There is nothing wrong with remaining optimistic but It is unlikely that we'll see things get better unless you are in it for microscopic gains.

^As of Feb. 2012>Reference
Tomshardware: "And, at the end, we saw little to no improvement from the evolutionary changes implemented by Microsoft and some of AMD's motherboard partners to help augment performance."

"With all of that said, the point of this exercise was to test for improvements in AMD's most recent architecture after several months of patches to Windows 7 and firmware updates. Unfortunately, in our benchmark suite, which is largely made up of applications that our audience has requested over the past year, the speed-ups we were hoping for were not apparent."

In response to your statement; STOP pretending as if we are going to see a booming jump in performance in the coming months; years?

One, two, or a couple of positive reviews from blokes here on OCN doesn't change the relevancy of Bulldozer as reviews of its shortcomings are staggering. It's still a subpar, pseudo- octo-core, long overdued, software dependent, underachieving chip. Even as a server chip (What some believe to be Bulldozer's true calling), it fails. Doesn't take ownership of both chips to recognize this bruce.gif

Only gaming benchmarks from what I could see.
It should also be noted that that Skyrim comparison between the processors was from before the multi-thread patch that Beth later implemented. I would assume the two CPUs are much closer now. Here's a much more useful comparison between the two processors. Superpi is about the least relevant benchmark to everyday PC performance ever and has been crossed out. Differences of less than 5% are considered within the margin of error and are considered irrelevant, as are games where both processors pull over 120 FPS. Plus, if you're like most and you have a 60 Hz monitor, none of the differences in the gaming benchmarks listed in the chart will be apparent/relevant.

I don't deny that Sandy's a chip with better IPC and, in most applications, does perform better on a raw numbers basis, and these comparisons were especially warranted before AMD cut BD's prices to reasonable levels. Are you, however, going to notice a perceptible difference in performance for most applications, especially considering the 8150 is now ~30 cheaper than the 2500k (or, $60 if you're one of the savvier people and just OC the 8120 to 8150 levels?)

@AusNorman

There are two (tues)days to consider:

about the same speed as a FX 81XX @ 4.4ghz. 16 cores at 2.2ghz, vs 8 cores at 4.4ghz. Would yield rather similar results, with the 16 core having a slight edge to the the extra fpu units. If you want to rip video fast a server chip is not the way to go.
