RADEON 6750 (crossfire) or RADEON 6850?

Which will give me better performance right now? I am assuming the 6750's will outperform a single 6850 but I can't seem to find the answer to that. I am looking to get the best build going right now as i want to play Max Payne 3. A friend of mine is letting his fairly new 6750's go for $150 and i think will be a better buy in my position than a 6850 for $140.

Will 500W be enough for the 6750's? I know it's enough for a single 6850

Thanks!

Edit: I miss my old build, but I had to let it go :-(

6850.

Never crossfire unless you absolutely need to. Single card mid range card > two lower end cards. Even if the 6850 performs slightly worse, it will be a much gameplay.

So while the crossfire setup will outperform the 6850, it won't be much?

I don't upgrade that often so i figured i would entertain the idea. Its not like i will crossfire the 6850 down the line anyway.

Thanks for replying

i dont think that was part of his question lol. and if you can i would go with the 7000 series. something like one of the 7770 overclock editions. but between the two 6850 wins

Yup it will, but you'll probably have microstuttering issues. I would get 6850 any day of the week over 6750 CF.
