Don't use V-sync, use adaptive vsync in your NvidiaCP. It caps you at your monitor's refresh, but it doesn't have the performance problems that regular vsync has.

You mean it doesn't introduce input lag?

How does fps limiter programs differ from turning vertical sync on?

I explained pages ago about this.
Look, just enable vsync and use a fps limiter at the same time.
It will give you far less input lag and no tearing.
It is as simple as that.
I use MSI AB to limit my fps. Works great with Vsync. No lag on the mouse!

Ok. But the thing is that I have a 120Hz XL2420TX monitor and it would be detrimental to enable Vsync if my FPS is always below 120FPS and never goes above, correct?

Enable Vsync and set fps to 120 in an fps limiter. Done.
Or
Don't use vsync at all and just play the game.

That wasn't the answer to my question frown.gif

What I read about vsync is that if it is enabled and then your FPS drops below your refresh rate (since it practically is a cap only) it will force the effective FPS to be exactly half of your refresh rate and this is not a wanted effect.

Well yeah that will happen. To stop this, you should force triple buffer.
Using an fps limiter can also help prevent this.
