OS keeps hard locking no BSOD w/ Vertex 2

Ok my Vertex 2 recently died on me and I just put in the new one and did a fresh install of Windows. The problem is Windows keeps hard locking on me without any BSOD or anything and my sound just makes a buzzing sound. Is my replacement drive faulty as well? It usually happens right in the middle of a game of Battlefield 3. It is also happening VERY often! My computer was working fine until I switched over to the SSD drive.(I was running it on my HDD before I got the replacement) I am already running the latest firmware version 1.35.

When this happened to me I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to RAM.
Same exact freezing issue.

I just upped the voltage a bit, so I guess I will see how it goes. It was working fine until I put my replacement SSD drive in and then that is when all hell broke loose.

The drive was brand new. The firmware was up to date. The issue was the audio driver. I have a Samsung 830 now and plan on either selling the Vertex 2 or putting it in my laptop. I did read of the firmware causing an error like mine, which is why that was one of the first things I checked.

Anyway the problem is solved guys, so no reason to scratch your heads anymore. Thanks anyway for the help. thumb.gif
